Adding a stern thruster to a boat with a bow thruster will give a captain the ultimate level of control and confidence when docking and departing regardless of wind, current, space limitation and traffic around the dock. A stern thruster consists of a standard Side-Power thruster mounted in a special tunnel fixed to the boats transom either by bolting or bonding. The high quality stern tunnels are manufactured by Side-Power and are available for boats 22 feet up to superyacht size.

We can also offer special versions of our popular SP55 Si. SP 75 Ti and SP 95 Ti thrusters in boats with gasoline engines. They are fully ignition protected to ISO 8846 and since they are totally gas and waterproof, they can also be fitted in boats where the stern area is difficult to keep dry.
